A whimsical fantasy land has emerged in town, and is appearing all over our Instagram feeds as we speak. Washed in shades of pink, this dreamlike space is none other than the Jentle Salon pop-up – created specially to celebrate the launch of Gentle Monster’s third collaboration with Blackpink's Jennie.
Nope, Jentle Salon has nothing to do with hair - although the giant unicorn taking centre stage does have an impressive silky mane that's adorned with colourful hair clips. Next to it is a capybara with an equally envy-worthy head of pink hair.
These aren't purely aesthetic elements, for the hair accessories actually resemble the adorable spectacle charms (from $30) in the Jentle Salon collection. In coquette-style designs featuring motifs such as felt bows, rhinestone hearts, and capybaras, the charms will add an adorable, playful touch to your shades or everyday pair of glasses, turning them into fashion statements with girlish elegance. The eyewear in the collection also sports similar feminine vibes, with pastel colourways and star-shaped embellishments along their temples.
Singapore’s Jentle Salon pop-up is located within the Gentle Monster store at Marina Bay Sands at #B2-103/104/105, and will be running until June 30, 2024. Opening hours are from 10.30am to 10pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and 10.30am to 11pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Entry is free, and you’re more than welcome to snap photos with the installations.
There are also Jentle Salon pop-ups happening concurrently in other nearby Asian cities including Osaka (until May 26), Tokyo, and Seoul (until June 30).
