Don't miss out on the city's parklife when the weather’s good
Thanks to all the incredible, world-famous cultural events and activities in the capital – not to mention the renowned, theatre, bar and club scene, and all those award-winning eateries – it would be easy to spend all your time in the city indoors. If you did, though, you’d be missing out on a whole other side of the city – the one that exists in the great outdoors.
There’s so much greenery in London that it’s actually classed as a national park city, so it would be practically criminal not to make the most of its outdoorsy offerings. There’s a whole ton of them, too, from verdant oases to explore, flower-filled parks and sandy beaches to picturesque walks and outdoor swimming spots. And you don’t have to miss out on your culture fix if you want to be under the blue (sorry, more likely overcast) skies. From alfresco restaurants and beer gardens to open-air cinemas and outdoor theatre, you can sample with a breeze in your hair.
